The present invention relates to control valve units used for example in automatic transmission and, more particularly, to an improvement in the construction of an electromagnetic valve which opens and closes a control passage for the control valve unit.
2. Description of the Prior Art
In the conventional control valve units, an electromagnetic valve is provided for the purpose of opening and closing the control passage. The electromagnetic valve is arranged at a position in the control valve unit on the side of the line which is remote from the hydraulic pressure source (or high pressure), so that the valve element thereof is closed by the pressure of hydraulic oil from the line, and is opened when current is supplied to a solenoid coil which drives the valve element. The opening of the electromagnetic valve increases the pressure in the control passage, and allows the control valve unit to be supplied with hydraulic pressure. The opening and closing of the electromagnetic valve are controlled by a control valve.
In this case, when the electromagnetic valve is opened, the pressure in the control passage tends to increase, so that there is a possibility that the control valve will be opened due to the pressure difference between the upstream side and the downstream side thereof. In order to avoid this inconvenience, it is proposed to suppress the pressure increase in the control passage by restricting the flow rate of oil supplied to the control passage.
That is, the flow rate of oil which flows from the hydraulic pressure source to the control passage, i.e., the hydraulic oil supply rate, is restricted by a restriction member. The restriction member has a tubular shape and, in this state, a pressure passage is communicated between the upstream side and the downstream side of the restriction member. Thus, the pressure in the control passage is restricted by the pressure passage, and as a result, the pressure increase in the control passage is suppressed.
However, in the case of the above arrangement, a hydraulic oil supply passage is required separately from the pressure passage. In addition, the restriction member is provided between the hydraulic oil supply passage and the control passage. Accordingly, the construction of the control valve unit is complex, and the dimensions of the control valve unit increase.The number of jobs the National Rifle Association (NRA) could be losing in January is beginning to trickle in.
